While we’re all adjusting to this new way of life, why not spend some time thinking about the skills you just don’t have time for, under normal circumstances. This short set of problems and puzzles will help you to think around the problem – identifying methods, tools and strategies that will help.

A common feature of GCSE maths is the need to discover the necessary strategies, and without this, answering some of the questions can be almost impossible.

Calculating dog years
Value of coins
Square peg, round hole
Straws in a pot
Superman Lego
Random, maybe, areas

Remember… it’s not about the answer, it’s about the learning process and the problem solving.

Enjoy!
